Analyzing and reviewing Avaya Enterprise servers, gateways and call center solutions in order to maintain a high level of reliability and availability. Developing IP Telephony components, including but not limited to Avaya Enterprise servers, gateways and call centers. Enhancing the IP telephony servers, gateways and call centers using knowledge of TCP/IP protocols, SNMP management, LAN/WAN design, MPLS, DNS and DHCP network services. Developing and implementing test validations of the servers, gateways and call centers. Analyzing test results and recommending modifications to the servers, gateways and call centers to meet requirements. Identifying, analyzing and triaging identified issues during the testing life cycle. Serving as a liaison with the end users to communicate the types of problems, the status of the problems and the resolution of the problems as part of the telephony deployment. Researching new technologies to make the servers and gateways more efficient and effective. Developing and documenting system access backups and software versions. Documenting modifications and enhancements made to the servers, gateways and call centers as required by the project.
Bachelor’s degree or foreign degree equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or Telecommunication and Network Management and six months’ experience in job offered or six months’ experience in Network Engineering or Lab Assistant field.
Work or Academic experience with TCP/IP protocols, SNMP management, LAN/WAN design, MPLS, DNS and DHCP network services. Travel to various unanticipated client sites required. May reside anywhere in US.
